Ever since I could remember there was music in my life or rattling around in my head. As I was born in 1966 I was too young to really appreciate the great musical styles of the times, but I was brought up on the 70’s music of 10cc, Bowie, Roxy Music etc. so all was not lost. I have been passionate about early Garage/Psych since my teenage years but I discovered very quickly that the more I was to delve into the past musically the more pathways and other avenues of musical styles opened up to me leading into a fascinating world of Blues, R ’n’ B, Rock, Soul, Ska, Folk, Pop etc. After many happy years of collecting vast quantities of music from the era 1960 to about 1978, I started to wonder if there was anyone else out there in the big wide world who shared the same passion as I did. This in turn led me to seek out possible venues playing the kind of music I adored. But despite living just outside of Birmingham there was nothing happening locally. Well, I’m back folks. Been a real difficult year after a fire/flood incident which meant I lost most of my possessions and had to relocate for 7 Months. I now have a working rig with new mic and I’m back at home (yay). I hope you’ll forgive the vocal mix teething problems. I’m still figuring the new stuff out and getting the balance is tricky, however, as it had been so long since I uploaded a new Podcast show, I decided to release this new one warts and all.
